Happy Saturday, folks! If you’re looking to make the most of your August weekend (sadly, one of 2014’s last) – then we recommend cramming every best part of summer (read: ice cream, bbq and boating) into one big event. Fortunately, for Bostonians this is all happening today at the 2nd Annual All Boats on the Water Day.

The event put on by Community Boating in partnership with EF Education First will be happening all afternoon. Starting at noon, folks can head over to the Charles River to take boats out on the water. There will be kayaks, wind surfers and paddle boats available. Sailboat rides will take place from noon to 2 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.

And if you missed the boating, you can still head over for the party on the dock starting at 2 p.m. Attendees can expect a free BBQ cookout, free Polar Seltzer beverages, free ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s and free giveaways from EF Education First.

If you’re looking to head over today, you can join the party from noon to 4 p.m. Community Boating is located on the Boston side of the Charles River near the Hatch Shell at 21 David Mugar Way.
