Boston, Mass., June 3, 2015EiQ Networks, a pioneer in continuous security intelligence, risk and compliance solutions, announced the appointment of Bruce McDonald as Vice President – Global Services.  In this role, McDonald will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class customer experience by building and managing experienced security support and SOC teams.   

McDonald brings over 20 years of senior executive experience in the IT security industry. As Vice President and General Manager for Sophos, Inc., from 2004 to 2015, McDonald provided strategic direction and leadership of the support services in North America. At Sophos he built and managed a team of 90 support and services engineers supporting over 100,000 small to medium businesses.  Under McDonald’s guidance, Sophos was recognized as one of British Columbia’s Top 50 Employers for five consecutive years.

As Vice President of Support at ACCPAC International, McDonald was responsible for the strategic direction of ACCPAC’s support organization that supported 6,000+ ACCPAC business partners and over 350,000 users worldwide. At PCSupport.com, where McDonald was Vice President of Operations and Client Services, he built and managed a global client services and support infrastructure supporting 800,000 global users in 170 countries.

EiQ recently announced that it is aggressively hiring sales, sales engineering, SOC engineering and security software engineering professionals with plans to increase employee count by an additional 25% by the end of 2015.  The company also announced a 47 percent year-over-year increase in sales at the close of the first quarter of 2015.  In tandem, EiQ’s customer base of small and mid-sized enterprises grew 127 percent year-over-year, representing the 5th consecutive quarter of record growth.
