When it comes to the spring season, there’s nothing better than exploring a farmers’ market filled with fresh produce, flowers and cheap prices. And (not going to lie) there’s something satisfying about haggling your way to fresh tomatoes and mangoes that you never even knew you needed.

In my opinion, every neighborhood deserves a bit of farmers’ market joy – and it seems the Beacon Hill community agrees. The Boston neighborhood is just as filled with history as it is with young people eager to shop local at their own outdoor market; which, according to the Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry blog via Beacon Hill Times, could be on its way soon.

There will be a public meeting on the proposed farmers’ market next week. Beacon Hill Times reports that:

“On Wednesday, April 16th, a presentation will be given at the Hill House Boston Community Center, proposing a new neighborhood farmers’ market in Beacon Hill. The presentation will be conducted by Colin Kreik and Casey Fox, two Bostonian and Beacon Hill residents who will be joint managing the farmers’ market.”

The article also reports that both Kreik and Fox will be laying out an overview for the “entire” farmers’ market plan including “site planning, logistics, public relations, connecting with the local community, and their overall philosophy on jump starting the market.”

The purpose of the meeting is to engage with members of the Beacon Hill community. The Beacon Hill Times also reports that “following the presentation, there will be a question and answer session.” The managers invite anyone and everyone to attend the meeting and “voice support, suggestions, or concerns” before “submitting their application through City Hall.”

The meeting will take place at the Hill House Boston Community Center at 6:30 p.m.
