UPDATE: Victim of Copley shooting was a 22-year old man, from Boston and a father of two.

A man, believed to be in his late 20’s or 30’s, died after being shot in the chest late last night near Copley Square, according to multiple reports. Police are currently searching for the gunman who fled the scene.

The suspect, believed to a black male wearing a blue Hawaiian shirt, reportedly fled onto Clarendon Street toward Tremont Street after the shooting, which took place shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday night.

The victim was found, shot in the chest, outside a Burger King on Boylston Street.

Authorities plan on searching local stores and apartment complexes for video surveillance footage.

Security cameras on Bolyston Street have proven helpful in the past. This is a developing story. Updates to follow.
