The sun is shining and the sky is blue — happy almost weekend Boston!

And with such fabulous weather lined up for the weekend, it’s time to take advantage of it and get a workout in. Whether you enjoy running, cycling or adventure races the Hub has you hooked up over the next few days.

So head outside and enjoy. That beach day and BBQ can be your reward for a workout well done.

1. Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon & Festival

Where: Newton

When: Friday – Sunday

Why you should go: This 3-day event brings runners from around the country together to pound the pavement on the iconic portion of the Boston Marathon route. The final mile of this race is a gradual climb — certainly not for the weak or weary. But if you’re interested in learning more about running, lace up and head over for the lectures that are occurring all weekend long.

2. SoulCycle With Mayor Setti Warren & CCG Foundation

Where: SoulCycle, Chestnut Hill

When: Saturday 2:30 p.m.

Why you should go: Donate to the Christina Clarke Genco Foundation, which provides bike safety and affordable housing programs, and you’ll get to clip in and partake in an hour long SoulCycle experience. Sweating for a good cause? I am in. Tickets are limited so buy yours now.

3. Power Pilates 45 With Ashley from OMBE

Where: Athleta, Newbury St.

When: Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why you should go: This free 45-minute class will jumpstart your weekend and leave your muscles fatigued for that day at the beach. A perfect way to tone up for the summer, this in-store event is sure to be packed so arrive early!

4. Sweat, Twist & Flow

Where: Waltham Yoga

When: Saturday, 2 p.m.

Why you should go: According to their site, “Kick off the summer with DEEP twisting, CORE strengthening, and a WHOLE BODY WORKOUT .designed to get you moving. Rev up your metabolism and circulation to shed winter weight.” Not to mention the instructor teaching the class is the multi-talented, motivating Abby Thompson. Sign up here!

5. Be Bold and Courageous: Goal setting and running with former Pro LUNA Athlete Terra Castro

Where: Athleta, Newbury St.

When: Sunday, 10 a.m.

Why you should go: This hour-long run and information session will give you all the tips you need to set fitness goals this summer. From signing up for races to prioritizing your workouts, find out how this expert balances exercise in order to achieve her goals.

6. Dance! Boot Camp

Where: Lululemon, Prudential Center

When: Sunday, 10 a.m.

Why you should go: If you’ve never taken a class from Chad Flahive before I encourage you to cancel whatever brunch plans you’ve made for Sunday morning. Between his high energy personality and killer moves, you’ll be sure to earn that Bloody Mary post-workout. And since this class is free there is really no excuse. 7. Superhero Scramble

Where: Amesbury

When: Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why you should go: An adventure run where people dress up as superheroes — need I say more? Unless someone gets their cape stuck while scaling a wall, this event should be an absolute blast. Registration is unfortunately closed, but since it’s going to be a gorgeous day, grab some friends head north. It’s sure to be a spectacle.
