Sticking around Boston this weekend? Excellent, let’s get a workout in.

From yoga to bootcamp there are a plethora of fitness events happening in and around the city over the next few days. And with some of them being complimentary, you can burn some calories without burning a hole in your pocket.

Start sipping your protein shake, Boston — it’s time to get your fitness on.

1. Yoga at Lululemon

Where: Lululemon Athletica store, 337 Newbury St.

When: Sunday, time TBD

Why you should go: Continuing this Sunday, Lululemon Newbury is offering their free yoga series for area athletes! The vinyasa flow class is open to all levels. Be sure to check their monthly calendar for more free events and details!

2. Barry’s over Boston

Where: Revere Hotel roof deck

When: Tonight! Friday, 5:30 p.m.

Why you should go: Spots are filling up fast for what will be an incredible workout presented by Barry’s Bootcamp Boston. This 60-minute heart-pumping fitness class with be held on the Revere Hotel roof deck — talk about a workout with a view!

And with Christina Lodde and Chris McClendon instructing the class, there is no doubt you’ll be sore tomorrow — take my word for it.

3. Athleta anniversary party

Where: Athleta, Newbury St.

When: Tonight! Friday, 6 – 8 p.m.

Why you should go: Celebrating their 2nd year of being open, Athleta is hosting a party for the public! According to their event page, there will be “refreshments, giveaways and sign ups for the first ever Athleta 1,000 Women 1 Lucky Guy Half Marathon September 14th in Newburyport!” Check with the Athleta events calendar for more events and updates!

4. Sexy Summit

Where: Spectacle Island

When: Sunday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Why you should go: A full day of fitness on a gorgeous island close to Boston? Sounds amazing. And it is.

This is the second year of the Sexy Summit which is hosted by Barry’s Bootcamp instructor and Public Body owner, Chad Flahive along with South End Athletic Company‘s running coach Dan Fitzgerald.

Tickets may not be available for this weekend’s event, however, Public Body bootcamp meets every Monday and Wednesdays in the South End. See you there!

5. Injury Prevention and Maintenance; Therapeutic Solutions

Where: Marathon Sports, Melrose

When: Sunday, 9:30 – 11 a.m.

Why you should go: Let’s be honest — everyone needs to work on preventing injuries more. Increasing your mobility and developing solutions for your post-workout pains are necessary. So why not join Marathon Sports in Melrose for this free workshop?

According to Eventbrite, this event will feature “Physical Therapist Holly Fitzgerald (PT, MSPT, OCS, Cert. MDT, Running Specialist). Holly has practiced in outpatient orthopedics for 15 years. She is a clinical instructor for Ithaca College and Northeastern University. Holly has run 15 marathons and takes great pleasure in working with other runners to reach their fitness goals.”

And if you’re still not convinced to postpone your Sunday brunch plans, Marathon Sports will be providing breakfast refreshments and a 20-percent discount to all who attend.

6. Vinyasa Flow with Sara Grossi Yoga

Where: Liberty Hotel

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.

Why you should go: This free fitness series is sponsored by Equinox Boston and the Liberty Hotel and is weather depending. But with the sun to be shining in the morning, it’s best you grab your mat and head over to the Liberty patio.
