If you’re not a fan of First Lady Michelle Obama, this isn’t for you. If you love First Lady Michelle Obama but cringe even than I do when you sneak a peek at your bank account, this isn’t really for you either. If you’re deep-pocketed First Lady Michelle Obama disciple, listen up. FLOTUS is coming to Boston and is even hosting a tea party. The only catch? Start counting your pennies if you want to partake in all the fun.

According to the Boston Globe, Michelle Obama will descend upon Boston come Monday, June 2, for a fundraising effort at a “downtown Boston hotel” on behalf of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Though the Globe reportedly obtained an invitation, the publication doesn’t appear to know where it’s taking place.

The lineup is supposedly slated to feature Obama, U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and U.S. Representative Steve Israel of New York what the Globe describes as “afternoon tea.”

Sounds charming enough. Until you see the price tag, that is.

As reported by WGBH tickets rill run you upwards of $500 per person to $32,000 per a couple. The upper echelon package affords the ticket holder “2 spots in VIP clutch, photo opportunity, and 1 table of 10 to the afternoon tea,” adds the Globe.

Me? I’m more interested in what kind of tea they’ll all be sipping on.
