Somewhere around this time of year we start thinking – wow, would it be good to be a snowbird right now. Florida. Arizona. Life there? Peachy.

But since we don’t quite believe in retiring before we reach our 30th (or 40th, or 50th) birthdays, for now we’ll simply satisfy our wanderlust with a trip somewhere smashingly warm. Anywhere.

Here to help us flee the cold with ease? International jetsetter and super stylist, Heidi Bivens, who’s dressed everyone from Beck and The White Stripes to Kanye West, and styled for the likes of Vogue, GQ, and beyond.

“Before I start [packing],” Bivens tells Refinery29, “I always check the weather forecast (there are so many apps for that). Then, I pack accordingly, usually throwing in a cashmere scarf and lightweight jacket just in case.”

Don’t worry, Bivens, our dream tropics have only warm breezes.
