Wakefield-based daily deal site Eversave recently conducted a survey of over 400 women in hopes of learning their appetite for following daily deals on Facebook. Along the way they uncovered some interesting data about how women feel about their friends — or should we say frenemies — on Facebook.

To start, Eversave learned that the appetite for accessing daily deals on Facebook is quite large for women: 87% said they found out about deals by liking daily deal providers on Facebook, and 45% said they found out about deals by seeing what their friends shared.

Alongside this data, Eversave also published the following two infographics about women and their friends/frenemies. Which are you on Facebook?

“The ironic issue is that many women may not even know they are being classified or thought of that way by their Facebook friends,” said Charlene DeLoach Oliver, JD, CISR, and an attorney-turned-Blogger at CharleneChronicles.com. “Most people regard social media, like Facebook, as a place to gripe or boast because they often can’t do it in real life. In the alternative, they also use it as a tool to connect with people, stay abreast of breaking news, and find great deals, contests, and giveaways.”

Eversave is owned by Boston-based Prospectiv, “where brands and women click” – and which is the largest coupon provider in the US. As of December 2010, Eversave.com was ranked as one of the top three daily deal sites in the US. Their deals are offered in 12 cities, but are from merchants in 57 different markets. They report differentiating themselves by being the only daily deal provider to offer national deals (dubbed “Always On” deals) as well as local ones.
