Yesterday, for example, we shared average cost-per-clicks (CPCs) and clickthrough rates (CTRs) for the e-commerce and retail sector in 2011 relative to other sectors like social gaming, entertainment, CPGs, technology and financial services. While it cost internet retailers slightly more on average to reach Facebook users than other sectors in 2011, these companies enjoyed CTRs as high as social gaming and entertainment —  sectors that traditionally enjoy high response rates on Facebook. Ultimately, purchase rates are a better indicator of the performance of Facebook Ads for e-commerce — but you’ll have to sign up to access that information!
