With the weekend finally here, it’s time to start tackling those fall activities on your autumn to-do list. But if you’ve already been apple picking, pumpkin patch- and haunted house-hopping, that means you still have one other major autumn activity left to conquer: exploring corn mazes.

That’s right, here in New England we are lucky enough to have intricate and massive corn mazes in every area of our region. And really, what could be better than frolicking and playing through acres and acres of winding cornfields?

Although we already established that haunted houses trump corn mazes as far as halloween activities are concerned, we still think a corn maze is worth a trip. Just make sure to bring good walking shoes (or running shoes depending on how scary the corn maze sounds). And definitely bring a charged cell phone. Because if you do get lost (like this family did last year), you could end up stranded (not to mention freezing). I’d also recommend a flashlight for those after-dark corn maze trips.

To make your planning even easier, we’ve found 13 New England corn mazes for you to venture out to this fall. Make sure to check at least one of these out while you’re leaf peeping and road tripping through the region. Let us know which is your favorite in the comments below.
