Google, apparently not wanting to be outdone by Apple and Microsoft ahead of the holidays, released a bevy of new Nexus devices monday. The search giant intended to hold an unveiling event, but plans were scrapped because of Hurricane Sandy, leaving the Google Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 to be almost surreptitiously released. They will run on Android 4.2. Here’s the scoop on all the new Google Nexus devices.

Google Nexus 4

Price: $299 w/ 2-year contract

The Nexus 4 by LG is intended to replace the Samsung Galaxy Nexus from about a year ago. The new phone has a 4.7 inch display, a quad-core S4 Pro processor, an upgraded 8 megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front. At $299 you get 8GB of storage while $340 gets you 16GB.

The hardware is nothing spectacular, but the Android 4.2 operating system has some people excited. It includes gesture typing, wireless video, and new photo features.

Unfortunately, the Nexus 4 is only available through T-Mobile. Sorry, Verizon, Sprint and AT&T users out there. To pick up the phone, head to the Google Play store today or a T-Mobile retail store starting November 14th.

Google Nexus 7

Price: Starts at $199

Google’s competitor in the 7-inch tablet market is the Nexus 7. First announced back in June in collaboration with Asus, today’s upgraded version runs Android 4.2 and comes in a 32GB model ($249) and a 32GB model equipped with HSPA+ cellular service for $299.

This pricing is “middle of the pack” in the 7-inch tablet market. Apple’s iPad mini goes on sale for $329, but Amazon’s 32GB Kindle Fire goes for $199.

Google Nexus 10

Price: Starts at $399

The announcements do not stop there. Google also unveiled its Nexus 10 — a 10-inch, Androud 4.2-enabled tablet. This new addition is built by Samsung and boasts a Retina-rivaling 2560 x 1600 resolution. Inside, the Nexus 10 has a dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. Starting price is for a 16GB model.
