According to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, the statewide travel ban will be lifted at 4 pm ET on Saturday. On Friday, Governor Deval Patrick declared a State of Emergency just after noon, and banned all vehicles from the roads starting at 4 p.m. The travel ban will have been in place for 24 hours. Patrick is expected to hold a news conference in minutes.

Service on the MBTA will most likely be down all day on Saturday and Sunday.
