Only one week until the BostInno team invades Dorchester Brewing Co. for a night of amazing craft brews and even better company. At Beers with the Beat you’ll get a chance to meet our editorial staff and get some face time with some of the best brewers in Boston. Take a second to check out our awesome editorial team’s greetings… Then go and grab your tickets for September 29th because we are always ready to pursue a brew with you.

Alex Weaver: Hey nerds, Alex Weaver here, BostInno’s lifestyle editor and resident chief meteorologist. As the craft beer writer on staff, you pretty much have me and me alone to thank for this event being hosted at a brewery. Unless you don’t have fun. Then blame Morgan. Anyway, you should know Dorchester Brewing Co. is pretty unique – it’s Boston’s first contract brewery and only its second full-pour taproom. So do yourself a favor and really drink in this experience, OK? Oh, and I love IPAs in case you’re wondering what to order me.

Kyle Gross: Hey Boston beer admirers, call me Kyle or KG. You can find me on the BostInno Beat every afternoon with Mr. Dylan Martin. Do me a favor and subscribe to the best tech newsletter in the hub. What else is there to tell you? I’m the GM of BostInno, Hank Mardukas is my best friend and the Patriots are the most impressive organization in Massachusetts. Disagree? Come tell me about it at Beers with the Beat.

Olivia Vanni: Olivia “Liv” Vanni here. When I’m not bouncing around the city covering early stage startups and tech, including those from our many college campuses, I’m nerding out over funding announcements. I enjoy the finer things Boston has to offer. That mostly entails eating food and resisting the urge to kidnap every dog I see.

I’m allergic to beer (THRILLED this event is at a brewery) so if you want to find me, I’ll be the classy broad sneaking sips from a hip flask all night. Or look for the massive knee scar, the true mark of a diehard runner.

Dylan Martin: My name is Dylan, and I’ve been a tech writer for BostInno for a year now. When I say “tech,” I mean it in the broadest sense of the word — as in, I cover everything from the smallest app company all the way to EMC. Of course, a lot of what takes my time are fast-growing startups and ones that raise money from venture capitalists, but I also love a good story about old fashioned bootstrapping. I also like stories that are more personal, including one I wrote a little while ago about how an entrepreneur walked away from a big opportunity with Uber. When I’m not in the office, you might find me up in Portland, Maine, where I have lived for most of my life, or at my apartment playing video games or watching TV shows. And if you couldn’t already tell from my social media accounts, I’m really into cats.

Amanda Burke: Hi there, I’m a Boston University senior, BostInno intern, and yet another hopeless IPA devotee. I like people, places, and things, unless that thing is writing autobiographical blurbs. That is not my strong suit. But I’m sure you’ve noticed that by now. When I’m not at work you can find me berating my friends and loved ones for believing in astrology. Please don’t judge me, we Cancers are a sensitive bunch.

Now grab your friends, and get your tickets so you too can meet our stellar writers… READY. SET. GO.
