Happy World Backup Day! Yes, that’s a thing. If you haven’t yet gone fully cloud I recommend you take the time to back up your files today. Carbonite, the local file backup company, did a survey to approximate how much users value their data. Here are some pretty surprising findings:

  • 82% say they keep only digital ?les.
  • On average, users have $400 worth of digital music
  • 38% say they would rather lose their wedding ring than their ?les.
  • 50% say they would rather lose their vacation time for a year.
  • To get their data back, 31% would give up coffee for a year.

There is no data so valuable that I’d give up coffee for a year.
