In what might’ve been misconstrued as a scene from one his long line of action movies, Academy Award nominated actor Harrison Ford was involved in a plane crash Thursday evening.

According to TMZ, who obtained a statement from a Ford rep, “Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which stalled upon takeoff. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

It appears Ford had just left taken off from a runway near Venice, Calif. when he experienced engine failure. He was forced to make an emergency landing at a nearby gold course.

TMZ was able to obtain audio footage from his exchange with air traffic control.

Ford is best known for his roles as the titular hero in the Indiana Jones series, Han Solo in the Star Wars series and leading parts in Blade Runner and The Fugitive.
