“Please don’t try and speculate about what I might do in September – no one can possibly know because I don’t even know yet!” – Emma Watson

Amid the speculation regarding Emma’s decision to leave Brown in 2011, she released a statement debunking rumors that she had been bullied out of the prestigious university.  She took time off just to “figure out [her] third year” at Brown. Well, the Harry Potter star has finally “figured out” her college plans and intends to resume her education. In a recent interview with Rookiemag.com, Emma let her fans know that she will be back in Providence this coming fall. When asked what made her decide to return, Emma answered:

“I really like the fact that it has a very open curriculum, that there aren’t any requirements. Really, I’ve kind of been in charge of my own education since I started out on Potter when I was 9 or 10, and I liked that I could design my own major if I wanted to, and I could take independent studies if I wanted to on subjects that weren’t necessarily in the curriculum. I did an independent study on the psychology and philosophy of how and why we fall in love, which was awesome.”

Emma will be joining a student body that she describes as “very independent” and that “wants to take responsibility and control of what they’re learning.”  The “certain type of student” that Brown attracts “appealed” to Emma – but we all know that the most appealing students are in Boston. It appears Emma thinks so, too – her current boyfriend, Will Adamowicz, just graduated from Boston College. Even though her schedule will be jam-packed with classes once the school year starts, Emma is keeping busy this summer too.  She’s in Seth Rogen’s This is the End which premiered in LA Monday night and will be out June 12 and also has a role in Bling Ring, out June 14.
