This morning, Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly announced the nominees for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, sparking the buzz that will lead up to the awards show on August 25, 2014. Teaming up with Yahoo! Live, the live streamed video rattled off the nominees for the major categories, with ‘Scandal,’ ‘Mad Men,’ and ‘True Detective’ receiving big nods from the Academy. It’s also looking to be a big year for Netflix Original Series: Last year was the first year a Netflix series was nominated, and this year, ‘Orange is the New Black’ received 12 nods, while ‘House of Cards’ received attention as well. Also keep an eye on the startup-scene focused HBO newcomer, ‘Silicon Valley,’ which was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

While there are over 100 Emmy Award categories, covering everything in TV from Outstanding Commercial, to Narrator, to Voice-Over, here are the major nominees for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony will be hosted by Seth Meyers and aired at 8 p.m. on NBC on August 25.
