If you watched, and possibly live tweeted, the Oscars last night, you weren’t alone. Sure, there may have been a few surprises (i.e. some of Ellen’s costume changes), but all in all, there weren’t too many upsets.

But that doesn’t mean the night was a dull one. The 86th Academy Awards were filled with a few memorable moments –and some weird ones. From the Oscar-worthy fashion choices to pizza deliveries and selfies – there’s no forgetting last night happened.

So without further ado, here are just a few of last night’s unforgettable moments.

Jennifer Lawrence tripped (again!)

JLaw didn’t just trip. She fell and “face planted” into another woman, according to US Weekly. The Oscar nominee apparently tripped and tried to avoid falling by grabbing the woman in front of her. This isn’t the first time the quirky actress has fallen at the Oscars – remember last year’s infamous trip on the stairs? Some accused the actress of falling on purpose, but we think it’s probably nothing a lesson in heels can’t fix.

Ellen DeGeneres’s group selfie makes history

It was the selfie seen (and retweeted) around the world. The Oscar took a selfie on her Samsung phone with Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Lupita Nyong’o (and her brother) and Angelina Jolie. Perhaps the best selfie ever, the photo was retweeted over 1 million times in just an hour. The tweet, now with over 2.6 million retweets, also broke President Barack Obama’s “Four more years” Twitter record for the most RTs. Wow.

Lupita Nyong’o gives a heartfelt speech

If you didn’t tear up during Lupita Nyong’o’s heartfelt acceptance speech then we simply can’t be friends. The Kenyan actress, who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in 12 Years a Slave, told the crowd “It doesn’t escape me for one moment that so much joy in my life is thanks to so much pain in someone else’s.” Poignant, humble and emotional, her speech couldn’t have been more perfect.

Ellen hosted a celebrity pizza party

Could someone please get Kerry Washington some pizza? Seriously, she was pregnant and she was hungry – fortunately, Ellen followed through on her pizza promise, welcoming a delivery man to the floor of the Oscars and hosting the best celebrity pizza party ever.

The 2014 Oscar beards

The beards that stole the show – you know which ones we’re talking about. From Jared Leto to Chris Evans, there were quite a few burly, bearded-covered men at the Oscars this year. Even Harrison Ford rocked a goatee-mustache while Jason Sudeikis showed us his well-kempt (read: sexy) mustache-beard combo while walking the red carpet and presenting alongside Kate Hudson.

‘Till next year!
