If you haven’t yet paid a visit to the Newbury Street’s Hotel Chocolat, we recommend making a trip before its too late. According to an official source, the U.S. flagship shop and cocoa bar-cafe will close this September.

The London-based shop explained their closure in a statement (below):

“We have made the decision to close our Boston cocoa café and store after trading here for five years. We have developed a loyal following and learned a lot about the chocolate preferences of US consumers in an affluent and cultured city. This knowledge is being applied to further develop our global digital flagship www.hotelchocolat.com, uniting all strands of the brand under one seamless roof.”

Hotel Chocolat opened its U.S. flagship store in Boston back in 2009. This past winter, the shop debuted its Cocoa Bar-Cafe at the Back Bay location, which served up all sorts of tasty hot chocolate and sweet treats (pictured above).

And if those photos are giving you some serious chocolate cravings, you’re in luck! Before the chocolate shop closes for good, they’re offering 50 percent off all merchandise. The Boston Globe reports that Hotel Chocolat will close on September 24 “or sooner if they run out of sweets.”

So, stock up while you can.
