Mardi Gras, the last day of the Carnival season, is today. Many of us will be at work while others live it up at the parades down in New Orleans, but who ever said you can’t bring a little Mardi Gras to work with you? If you’re feeling trčs festive and want to laisser les bons temps rouler at work, check out these four ways to celebrate Mardi Gras at the office today.

Bring Beads

Pick up some beads to spice up your office attire, and bring extras to hand out at work. Put them on your coworkers’ chairs and hang some from lamps and other fixtures around the office. Don’t forget the color scheme: purple, green, and gold.

Dress the Part: Masks

If you want to have a Mardi Gras office party, make sure you dress the part. That includes masks. Think gaudy, think glitter. Lots of color, sequins, and feathers are all fair play, and just in case someone forgets his mask, bring an extra.

Coffee and King Cake

While you’re picking up your morning brew, why not get some for everyone? And while you’re at it, pick up some beignets and King Cake for a little impromptu office party. Not sure where to find King Cake before the big day? We’ve got you covered.

Start an Office Parade

Singers and dancers, this is your cue. But for those less inclined towards the arts, don your masks and form a line. Don’t forget to provide some music for the occasion, and if you need ideas, here are 30 Mardi Gras playlists courtesy of 8tracks.
