You know those mornings where you have nothing to wear, and inevitably end up tossing half of your closet onto various pieces of furniture, as well as the floor? This can ruin a neat closet in minutes, sending you on a downward spiral that will probably also impact your work performance and your sex drive. What you need is Stylebook, a nifty app that helps you see your closet inventory, plan your outfits and virtually pack for trips, decide what to donate, and choose clothing and accessories that complement what you already own for your next purchase.

Twice

Oftentimes, the reason our closets become terror zones is because we’re not properly purging the items we don’t wear, in order to restock with the items we do. That’s where Twice comes in. The San Francisco-based app and secondhand e-commerce store lets you easily sell the clothes you no longer wear by shipping them all out and waiting for an offer. Then, you can browse their super affordable shop and replenish your closet without spending a fortune. If you live in the city, chances are your apartment isn’t oozing spare storage space. And if the size of your closet doesn’t accurately reflect your shopping tendencies, you might have a space problem. Thanks to Boston-based startup Cubiq, you can easily pack up the stuff you don’t immediately need, have a concierge pick it up and store it, and if you need anything back, you’re just a few phone-taps away from next-day delivery. One of the best ways to keep your closet under control – as well as your credit card bill – is to rent where you can buy. That’s where Date My Wardrobe comes in. The app lets you borrow shoes, dresses and handbags from other closets near you, which fellow fashionistas can digitally upload for your browsing pleasure. It’s basically like having a roommate with an enviable collection of clothing, except she charges you for the exchange.
