Known for his theatrical runways and bold styles, Jean Paul Gaultier finished his reign of ready-to-wear in true JPG fashion, with an over-the-top, pageant-inspired runway show.

Two weeks ago, Jean Paul announced that he would be giving up his ready-to-wear line to focus solely on couture. His last show, dubbed “Miss Jean Paul Gaultier,” was held during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday. Models were decked out in dramatic makeup, glitter, and sky-high 80s hair. The catwalk – surrounded by popcorn, champagne, and confetti – featured some of the French designer’s most famous looks alongside those belonging to his newest and final Spring 2014 collection.

So who took the crown of Miss Jean Paul Gaultier? None other than model Coco Rocha, following her win with a staged tumble down the stairs. Would we expect anything less? Absolutely not. I mean, this is the guy that once opened his show with a full-fledged Irish step dance. And for that, we’ll miss him dearly.
