If you find yourself in or around Newton, Mass. this weekend, we recommend indulging in a little playoff pre-gaming the old fashioned way – with a diner-style milkshake, of course. Thankfully, the popular Newton Centre diner, Johnny’s Luncheonette, is offering up complimentary mini milkshakes to Pats fans, all weekend long.

The free mini-shakes will be given to those Pats fans who wear their Patriots jersey to the restaurant this weekend. In addition, Johnny’s is serving up a Patriots-themed menu with the Gronk Burger (1/2 lb Pineland beef patty with buffalo chicken cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato and side of coleslaw and a pickle), Big Vince Omelette (4 eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, peppers, onion, tomato, cheddar cheese with homefries and toast), The Kraft (roasted turkey, swiss, avocado, cranberry chutney on a toasted focaccia roll), Brady’s Beef Knishes (served with tomato gravy).

But back to those free milkshakes – Johnny’s offers a choice of Cookies & Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Coffee, Chocolate or Strawberry flavored shakes. And of course, just like any real deal diner, the shakes are all topped with whipped cream.

Johnny’s Luncheonette is located at 30 Langley Rd. in Newton, Mass. and serves breakfast all day, lunch, dinner and drinks. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
