Bad news for Google today. A federal judge ruled against Google in its bid to distribute millions of books onlines. The Authors’ Guild and the Association of American Publishers sued Google back in 2004. The writers’ groups claimed Google Books broke copyright laws. Harvard University was involved with this issue because they didn’t want Google scanning the majority of their books from Harvard’s library.
