Great news for spicy, Korean food-loving Bostonians! Bibim, a popular Korean restaurant in Allston, will be expanding to Davis Square this fall, reports Eater Boston. The restaurant will be taking over the space once occupied by the neighborhood’s McDonald’s located at 243 Elm St.

No doubt a gain for Somerville’s burgeoning restaurant scene, Bibim will add quite a bit of much-needed spice to the Davis Square area. From spicy noodle dishes and fried chicken to the restaurant’s signature dish, Bibimbap, the restaurant’s scrumptious Korean fare has certainly won quite a few fans.

Below is a photo and description of Bibim’s name and signature dish:

Eater Boston reports that the new Davis Square Bibim location “could seat about 92” and will have a full liquor license. The new Bibim will also be decorated with “sculptures and paintings,” notes the article. According to a Facebook post, the restaurant’s grand opening will be November 1.

The restaurant doesn’t have a website but feel free to check out the mostly favorable Yelp reviews as well as their Facebook page, which includes plenty of photos of Bibim’s Korean dishes.
