This weekend, parody coffee shop “Dumb Starbucks” debuted in Los Angeles. And as fast as it opened, it was shut down.

The shop, which featured free coffee and traditional Starbucks menus and products with the word “dumb” tacked on, was closed today by the Los Angeles Health Department for operating without a health permit, the L.A. Times reports. Yesterday, Nathan Fielder, the host of Comedy Central TV show “Nathan for You,” stepped forward as the shop’s creator by holding a “tongue-in-cheek” news conference outside of the “Dumb” store.

Watch the press conference in the video below:

Appropriating the chain’s name and poking fun at peoples’ willingness to spend four bucks for a designer cup and a drink they could’ve made at home is publicity genius. Practically overnight, Fielder gained nationwide attention, proving that all you need to gain a little notoriety is some fun potential copyright infringement.

All of this begs the question, what would happen if a Dumb Dunks opened up in the Hub?

Well, for starters, if it offered any form of free coffee there would be lines for blocks. Because as much as Los Angeles likes its coffee, Boston likes it ten times more. ‘Likes’ is probably a slight word. Boston requires coffee to function, preferably from Dunkin’.

Then, there would be the menu. Think of the possibilities: You could order a Dumb Iced Coffee, or if you’re feeling extra fancy, the latest in saccharine beverages, the Dumb Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte. Hungry? You could order a Dumb Dunks breakfast sandwich. Round out your meal with some seasonal eats: a Dumb Heart Shaped Donut.

There’s a better ring to the name: “Dumb Dunkin Donuts,” or “Dumb Dunks” for short. The alliteration is hard to pass up.

The jingle could even be manipulated into (a more fitting?) “America runs on Dumb.”

But would the irony be as perfect? Probably not. Because as Boston has known for a long time, Dunks is not nearly as dumb as the Bux.
