This app will ensure you are heading in the right direction on the right train in whatever city you find yourself.
Weatherbug – FREE – This should be your go-to weather app for all your travel plans. After all, who really enjoys dancing in the rain – please. Not only will it give you the weather forecast for your location, but also add photos, radar and lightning sensors.
Kayak – FREE – and duh. If you don’t already have this on your phone, stop whatever it is you are doing and download it. It’ll help you organize your travel plans like a Christopher Columbus champ. You’ll be able to search and compare prices for flights, cars and hotels. Book your travel and maintain a travel itinerary all on your phone.
Parkmobile -FREE – Once upon a time I lived in Washington, D.C., owned a car, downloaded Parkmobile app and saved myself a lot of quarters. This app simplifies your parking experience by allowing the driver to pay the parking meter directly from their phone. Genius. It’s used in many cities and will be particularly helpful if you are planning to drive to your destination.
Jwire Free Wi-Fi Finder – FREE – Imagine if you had a free Wi-Fi finder right on your phone? We’ll you can. Download the JiWire app to search for free hotspots near your. Never go without iMessage, Skype or faster internet again. And welcome to 2013.
SitOrSquat – FREE – Gotta go? This app is about as simple as it sounds, allowing you to find a clean public restroom wherever you go this Labor Day weekend. Although, I wouldn’t recommend integrating Facebook with the app. After all, who really needs to know about your business? TMI.
