After fighting cabin fever with Winter Storm Nika and witnessing a hoard of Sochi Problems at the Winter Olympics, we’re pretty glad to see this week end. But that doesn’t mean your Friday has to. With the opening ceremony broadcasting on every TV tonight, we recommend heading to a viewing party – or one of these Russian-inspired restaurants.

As for after midnight, it may be time to try something new  – especially if you’ve frequented The Hong Kong karaoke bar one too many times lately. If you do find yourself out after the Olympics opening ceremony, we recommend heading to Brookline’s Fairsted Kitchen.

The Washington Square restaurant recently launched their new rotating late night menu. Beginning at 11 p.m. (‘till last call), you can snack on late night fare such as Korean-style duck wings with gochujang sauce, pig’s ears fries, BBQ duck “sloppy Joes,” and beef tongue Philly cheesesteak. Yum! And you can keep the night going with Fairsted Kitchen’s creative cocktails, beers or their extensive list of Old World and New World wines.

The popular Brookline restaurant is part of the growing restaurant scene taking place in Washington Square. While you’re in the neighborhood, hop across the street to The Abbey for their full dinner menu, served until 1:30 a.m. Or jump next door to Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant, open until 2 a.m.

Either way, you really can’t go wrong with this late-night nosh!
