Downtown Crossing has certainly been on the up-and-up lately. With new residences, restaurants, companies and retail popping up along those winding (and oh-so confusing) downtown streets, the future is looking bright for the neighborhood. And now, it looks like it could get a lot brighter – and louder – with a possible new nightclub.

The Boston Business Journal is reporting that a Florida-based nightclub called Latitude 360 could open in a “63,000-square-foot space at the Lafayette City Center in Boston’s Downtown Crossing.” But while the nightclub’s name may, perhaps, sound a bit cheesy – the proposed site is anything but.

The Boston Business Journal states that Latitude 360 is “a combination restaurant and entertainment venue with bowling lanes, bar, dance floor, HD sports theater, a dine-in movie theater, high-tech game room and live music …”.

Is there anything this nightclub doesn’t have?

The article also reports that while the nightclub has already “signed a letter of intent with the Abbey Group, owner of the 615,000-square-foot office and retail building,” the business will still require city approvals, a liquor license from the Boston Licensing Board, and of course, positive reactions and approval from the neighborhood, in general.

Whether the plan materializes or not will depend upon all the above factors. On July 9, Latitude 360 is set to meet with the Midtown Park Plaza Neighborhood Association, notes the Boston Business Journal.

Currently, the Florida-based nightclub has three locations: Jacksonville, FL, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh. For more information and details on the Latitude nightclub, take a look at their website here.
