Alemany is also responsible for the assault on two women earlier this week in Soutn Boston, as well as one back in September who was able to confirm him as the assailant after slyly and bravely snagging his ID during the attack.

Watch the Boston Police address the murder of Amy Lord here at 5:30pm ET:

Currently, Alemany, 28 is being held at Bridgewater State Hospital for a mental evaluation after appearing in court Thursday during an arraignment that was suspended at the request of the defense.

Mayor Menino told Fox 25 News‘s news reporter Sharman Sacchetti “My information is we only have one suspect in this case.”

Around 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Lord was allegedly kidnapped in South Boston on her way to the gym. According to police, between 6 a.m. and 6:47 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Lord’s bank account was accessed from five different ATMs in the area.

Lord was then brutally stabbed multiple times and was found dead in Hyde Park’s Stony Brook Reservation on Tuesday afternoon by a passerby. Her car was set fire as well.

Alemany has not been formally charged by Boston Police despite being detained, though DNA evidence is expected to confirm his participation in the kidnapping and murder. Currently, he is the sole suspect in the crime.

Boston police are expected to hold a press conference at 5:30pm ET at which time they will detail to the public the latest developments in the case, and likely comment on the supposed DNA evidence.
