Tonight’s NBA Finals game one match up pits the San Antonio Spurs against the Miami Heat in what has the makings to be one of the best played series in recent memory. But for those seemingly unable to watch because of TV problems, or late cable bills fret not. Here’s how you can live stream game one of the 2013 NBA finals San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat.

Watch Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Finals Live Stream on ESPN 3

Coverage for game one begins at 8:30pm ET with ESPN hosting the pregame show before it turns it over to ABC to broadcast the game.

The big story with the series dates back to 2007 when LeBron James, prior to team-jumping from the Cavs to Miami in selfish desperation, took on the Spurs at the helm of his Cleveland Cavaliers where he was embarrassingly swept in four games and accused of many of being a choker.

Years later, after jumping ship and leaving Cleveland high and dry in order to unite with Dwayne Wade and, um, some other dude nobody cares about and was only mentioned in the same breath as the other two because “Big Three” sounds better than “Big Two,” LeBron is out for redemption and his second NBA title in as many years.

It won’t be as easy for the Heat to vanquish San Antonio as it was for the Spurs to do the Cavs back in ’07 as the team from Texas boasts all-time great Tim Duncan down in the paint and All-Star point guard Tony Parker feeding him the rock. This stoic and time-tested squad will match brains with brawn as they hope to take home and hang their 5th NBA title (all since 1999) in the rafters of the AT&T Center.

Being from Boston automatically sides me with the Spurs though LeBron certainly earned his MVP award this year playing like man possessed during the regular season and unbelievably elevated his game even higher during Heat’s second longest all time 27-game win streak.

Time to start taking predictions. Who will win game one tonight in Miami? Which team will take the entire series? Will LeBron hunt for a better supporting cast when he can’t win another championship?
