Two underage people looking to get their hands on some booze got more than they bargained for after the man they approached at the MBTA Forest Hills Station pulled a needle out, filled it with blood, and threatened to stab them.

According to Transit Police reports, officers arrested Jose Soler, 47, Hyde Park, and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police said around 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, the victims approached Soler at the T station and offered to give him money if Soler bought alcohol for them.

“Soler agreed and took $25 dollars from the victims, with the understanding he would purchase $20 worth of alcohol and keep a $5 fee for doing so,” according to police.

The victims told police that Soler entered the Forest Hills Liquor Market across the street from the station and returned empty handed. When the two underage men demanded that Soler give them their money back, Soler allegedly gave them just $3 and an argument ensued.

According to reports, Soler then took out a hypodermic needle, stabbed it into his arm, filling it with blood and and threatened the victims by brandishing the needle in their direction and telling them he had AIDS.

Officers located Soler inside the station and placed him into custody and transported him to Transit Police headquarters.

Soler is scheduled to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court today, according to a spokesman from the Suffolk District Attorney’s office.
