[UPDATE]: The body pulled from Boston Harbor has been identified as 24-year old Eric Munsell who went missing in February, reports NECN. Police are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.

A man’s body has been pulled from Boston Harbor near Long Wharf in the North End, reports WCVB. The Boston Fire Department dispatched its Tech Rescue Team at around 12:28 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. They’re referring to the man as non-viable which sadly means he’s deceased.

The Boston Fire Department Twitter handle is reporting that the Boston Police is now on the scene as well. The man has yet to be identified by authorities.

Back in February, 24-year old Eric Munsell went missing after last being seen at Market Lounge on Broad Street in the Financial District where he was celebrating his birthday with some friends.

After leaving, his cell phone last pinged a signal near Long Wharf, according to the local publication North End Waterfront.

Later in March Munsell’s family held a vigil for him, hopeful that he may someday return; or at least, that they find closure with knowing exactly what befell Eric.

It’s important to note that the body pulled from Boston Harbor on Wednesday afternoon has yet to be identified and may not be Munsell.
