Massachusetts Governor candidate Juliette Kayyem announced today that she will be touring much of the Bay State’s eastern most cities and also opening her office in Cambridge. Having lectured at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and hoping to make Beacon Hill her home, a campaign hub in Cambridge certainly makes sense for her.

Her tour schedule is slated to have her visit  Lowell, Hingham, Arlington, Abington, and finally hosting the opening of her Cambridge spot.

According to Kayyem’s press secretary, “On Sunday she will attend a house party in Abington and host the opening of her campaign office in Cambridge. She will meet with local residents to discuss her candidacy in the Massachusetts race for governor, highlighting her bold and innovative plans to move the Commonwealth forward.”

Already she’s released plans for educational reform spanning from pre-kindergarten to collegiate graduates as well as having touched upon urban violence and domestic terrorism in the Bay State, citing her background as the Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs for the United States Department of Homeland Security.

“Juliette believes in the importance of meeting and speaking one-on-one with residents about local concerns and how they affect the Commonwealth,” continued Kayyem’s press secretary. “She is committed to traveling across the state and visiting every neighborhood so she can better understand local issues and how to address them head on.”
