Boston soccer fans are being given another opportunity to come together in celebration of the World Cup. On Monday, June 22, at 8 p.m, fans can gather at City Hall Plaza to watch the USA vs. Columbia Women’s World Cup game with Mayor Walsh and the Boston Breakers, the city’s professional women’s soccer team.

The City of Boston will be represented by Alyssa Naeher, the Breakers’ goalkeeper and NWSL 2014 Goalkeeper of the Year. Of course, she will only play for the United States in the unlikely occasion that Hope Solo is unable to start.

Last year, Mayor Walsh hosted two viewing parties, which to no surprise showed beyond successful turnouts. Hopefully the crowds return and the USWNT comes out on top (partly so we can have another watch party).
