All MBTA subway and trolley lines are experiencing weather-related delays Wednesday morning, just a few hours before the 11 a.m. scheduled start of the New England Patriots duck boat parade through Boston.
During an interview with the Boston Globe on Tuesday, T general manager Beverly Scott bluntly stated that extra service would not be provided to accommodate the large crowds expected at Wednesday’s rolling rally for the Super Bowl champs. Scott’s interview came in the wake of severe Tuesday morning delays on the Red Line, as well as other lines.
Scott gave advance notice to riders to expect slow service to continue as the T’s old equipment struggles in the aftermath of recent snow storms. Commuters heading to the rolling rally, the T said, should use other means of transportation.
“Parade goers should be aware that daily riders will be commuting as well; trains will be crowded,” MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo told BostInno. “Passengers should carpool if possible and be prepared for parking lots/garages to reach capacity quickly.”
The situation on the T Wednesday morning isn’t pleasant, for sure. But it was worse Tuesday.
Here’s what riders are saying right now.

How can anyone associated with #mapoli or #bospoli be in favor of #Boston2024 if we don’t come up with a lasting solution to the #MBTA ?
