The MBTA’s new mobile parking payment provider is giving away free gas money to MBTA customers throughout the month of February.

Starting February 1, the MBTA fully switched mobile parking payment providers, ditching ParkMobile for PayByPhone. Signs for the new provider started cropping up at T parking lots as early as January 13.

Now that the transition has been completed, PayByPhone is offering to compensate vehicular commuters. Starting this Friday, February 7, the new payment provide will dish out $100 gas cards to people who use the T.

There’s no down payment required. Customers just need to sign up for a PayByPhone account, and their names are automatically entered. Only Massachusetts residents are eligible. Winners will be announced on Twitter, so follow @pay_by_phone.

Giveaways will take place this Friday, and again on Feb. 14, Feb. 21, and Feb 28.
