The MBTA will not be able to provide extra service during Wednesday’s scheduled duck boat parade for the New England Patriots.

The T’s general manager, Beverly Scott, told the Boston Globe in a phone interview that additional service for the Pats parade – which is scheduled to start Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. – just isn’t possible, given the toll recent winter weather has taken on the public transportation system.

“That’s not going to happen,’’ Scott told the Globe, when asked if the T would adjust its service for the parade. “I will not put out equipment that I think, in many instances, I do not think I can run safely.’’

The rolling rally for the Super Bowl XLIX champs was originally scheduled for Tuesday. Monday’s severe weather, however, forced Mayor Marty Walsh to postpone the parade until Wednesday.

Scott delivered the bad news about the Pats parade following a morning commute hampered by severe delays, which many commuters found unacceptable.

“We will be trying to be able to get through this week and trying to get into the continued recovery and restoration work,’’ Scott told the Globe. “But I am praying that this Sunday to Monday that we don’t wind up getting another big one.’’

Oh, yeah. Another 25 inches of snow could fall in Boston over the next 10 days.
