-A new mobile game application designed by scientists and researchers at CyberDoctor proved effective in changing health behavior and biomarkers. Business Wire’s PatientPartner Improves Adherence in First Independent IRB-Approved Clinical Trial of a Mobile Game Application in Diabetes Patients states PatientPartner will help alleviate costs of non-adherence, estimated at 125,000 deaths and $300 billion a year.

-HealthLink Dimensions conducted research to determine the best ways to communicate with healthcare professionals. Their webinar, Are You Getting Through? HCP’s Reveal Their Preferred Communication Channels, highlights key information to help pharmaceutical companies focus their HCP marketing efforts.

-The National Environment Agency (NEA) pointed to the efforts of four pharmaceutical firms that implemented energy saving initiatives in the past year. The Straits Times article, Pharmaceutical Companies Lead the Way in Energy Efficiency, NEA Study Showspoints out that lower energy costs will translate to lower cost of goods, which will ultimately benefit the patients.  

-Pharmaceutical manufacturers have an opportunity to launch novel products into the marketplace, according to a report from the research and consulting company GlobalData on Drugs.com. Opportunity in Antibiotics divulges that the growing level of threat posed by multidrug-resistant bacteria will be a key driver behind the growth of the antibiotics market in the US, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK.

-Med City News looks at a new angle in regards to patient adherence when taking medications. Study Seeks to Answer Medical Mystery:  Would Changes to Prescription Drug Labels Boost Adherence? evaluates if improving prescription labels would improve adherence.
