Thank you to everyone that joined BostInno, TUGG, and the New England Venture Network at Empire on Monday evening. You helped us raise $4,500–which will be added to the more than $280,000 already generated by TUGG’s marathon relief efforts–in a mere couple of hours.

More than 100 people took the time out of their busy schedules to register, donate, and show up in support of Marathon attack victims. Our generous hosts at  Big Night Entertainment Group donated 100% of bar proceeds to the cause without blinking. Even more unbelievable, BNEG’s Empire employees volunteered their time to staff the event, and graciously served up app after delicious app.

Fundraise.com donated 100% of all fees for this event, and will continue to do so for all Boston Marathon victim fundraisers on their site, so money raised can go directly to those that need it most.

Pulled together in just a few days,  this fundraising Meet Up was a testament to our great city. From a bunch of startup folks and nightlife pros no less. Yes, we’re still grieving. But we’re working as a community to pick up the pieces and stand–more united than ever–Boston strong.

It just goes to show the amazing things that can happen when we come together.

Thank you to Jodi-Tatiana Charles of La Capoise Galerie for photographing the event.
