Another 4 to 6 inches of snow is in the forecast for Boston on Sunday, and the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for cities and towns south of the Massachusetts Turnpike.

The storm watch is set to go in effect Sunday afternoon and last into late Sunday night for cities and towns southeast of Boston, away from the immediate coast.

Snow is expected to start late Sunday afternoon and increase in intensity throughout the evening. An accumulation rate of one inch an hour is possible at times. Snow is likely to come to an end by sunrise Monday morning.

Travelers should expect slick conditions on untreated roads Sunday evening into Monday morning. Snow is expected to move out of the area by the morning rush hour.
