You don’t have to spend an exorbitant amount of money to make this Mother’s Day a memorable one. After all, when it comes to moms, it’s really the little things that count. From handwritten notes to a well-thought out meal, there are plenty of ways to honor your mother (or wife) this Sunday.

But for those of you still scratching your head, unsure of what to get that special lady in your life, you’re in luck. BostInno recruited Kathryn Yee of Bash Studio to lend gift-giving advice for the holiday. The designer is well-known for her work around town with special events, creating and curating memorable experiences for her Boston clients.

“Mother’s Day, it’s about your thoughtfulness. Think about how you want to show your love to your mom (or wife) with thoughtfully curated products and goodies that she’ll love,” Yee explains. “Remember, Mother’s Day is about showing appreciation and spoiling her too. Let her indulge and most of all, show her the love.”

Here, the designer offers her Mother’s Day gift ideas exclusively to BostInno readers. She adds, “they are extra thoughtful, creative and don’t require any wrapping!” Yee also chose to work with South End photographer, Cassandra Plummer, to help transform her ideas into beautiful photos. The designer tells us that Cassandra was the perfect fit to capture all of her ideas – as Plummer is both a photographer and a mother, who photographs families and babies.
