Still in need of Valentine’s Day plans? Let the Museum of Fine Arts guide you to a cultured holiday.

The museum has been celebrating “Love at the MFA” all month long, and the events come to a peak this President’s Day weekend, as Valentine’s Day falls on Saturday. The parties, lectures and galleries are a classy yet creative alternative to the holiday’s norm of a fancy dinner reservation.

Tonight, kick off the weekend with at the Arts + Hearts party, which invites couples and singles alike into the museum from 6 to 9:45 p.m. for specialty cocktails, bites, music and an evening tour of the exhibitions. Current exhibitions include  “Visiting Masterpiece: Gustav Klimt’s Adam and Eve, “Court Ladies or Pin up Girls? Chinese Paintings from the MFA, Boston” and “Hollywood Glamour: Fashion and Jewelry from the Silver Screen”. During the night (and the month), visitors can get a “Love at the MFA” brochure to navigate the museum’s romantic spots. Tickets to the party are $23 for members, $25 for non.

On Valentine’s Day, couples can get the festivities started early with a brunch at the MFA restaurant Bravo from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., or head to an afternoon gallery talk, “Odd Couples at the MFA,” hosted from 12 to 1 p.m. The talk will explore “where opposites attract at the MFA.”

On Sunday, keep the romance alive at the MFA’s second gallery talk of the weekend, this time, one that will explore broken hearts in art, from 2 to 3 p.m. At the same time, the Juanito Pascual New Flamenco Trio will be performing in the Harry and Mildred Remis Auditorium. Tickets are $20 for members, $25 for non.

If the MFA’s romance-centric weekend strikes your fancy, check out their programming for the rest of February.
