The sweet smell of waffles always conjures up childhood memories of my mom griddling waffles on Sundays (fat kid confession). And also some memories that I’m not so proud of, like paying a visit to the Waffle House on a bi-weekly basis in college.

Luckily, for me (and for you), this week is officially “National Waffle Week.” Until yesterday, I had no idea that this sweet holiday existed but now that I do (thanks to the Waffle House website), it’s time to eat. After all, the breakfast (sometimes dinner) holiday week will end this Saturday, September 7. So, if you’re waffling over what to do in the next day or so, I’ve got you covered. Here are some Boston Waffle suggestions to get your sweet tooth through the remainder of today and tomorrow.

ArtBar

ArtBar in Cambridge is hosting a 3-course tribute menu in honor of the breakfast food. The prix fixe meal is $35 and according to their blog, the restaurant will be serving up a Bacon Waffle with Creme Fraiche Ice Cream, Bourbon Caramel, and Candied Pecans. Are you drooling yet? Check out the rest of the Waffle menu on their blog, and call 617.806.4122 to reserve your table.

Back Bay Social Club

If you’re looking for late-night waffles this Friday or Saturday night, head to Back Bay Social on Boylston Street for your sweet — and savory — fix. They serve Chicken and Waffles with housemade maple BBQ syrup until midnight. Nothing like waffles at midnight to ward off that hangover.

Theo’s Cozy Corner

This cozy little nook in the North End is the place to go for a casual brunch with great waffles. The atmosphere is very diner-esque, and the breakfast is delicious. The waffles are served with your choice of fruit or chocolate chips. Not to mention, they tend to be very generous with their portion sizes – and the cheap prices will save you some extra change for later. Just remember it’s cash-only.

The Paramount

The Paramount’s been around since 1937, which might explain why the brunch is so good. Perfecting that waffle has paid off as this place is known for having one of the best brunches in Boston. If you haven’t already tried the Paramount’s Malted Belgian Waffle you should. And obviously, add some fresh fruit on top to make it complete.

Saus

If you’re looking for a quick waffle fix, head to Saus. Although, it will probably be very difficult to choose between their homemade nutella dipping sauce and their salted caramel dipping sauce. But good luck with that!
