Recent videos have emerged showing the new iPhone 5S in its gold and graphite glory just as AT&T joins the likes of Verizon and T-Mobile in implementing blackout dates for its employees. Each of these are evidence of Apple’s imminent product launch, as of now assumed for September 10, where the Cupertino gadget maker is expected to unveil its next-gen smartphone as well as its upcoming flagship mobile operating system iOS 7.

The two videos come from different sources but depict the Apple’s new line of colors in similar fashion nonetheless. The video of the  gold, or champagne version to some, comes courtesy of the YouTube account TechfastLunch&Dinner where they aptly disassemble the device and compare it side-by-side to the current-gen iPhone 5. In doing so they discover some of the screws have moved in the 5S allowing for a more robust processor and battery which coincides with rumors of Apple’s new A7 processing chip, among other insignificant though noticeable differences.

The second video via iCrackUriDevice is similar in nature, depicting the unboxing and some hardware features of the graphite iPhone 5S as well as the iPad mini backplate which has been seen in multiple photo leaks leading up to the release. Aside from the new color scheme, there isn’t a whole lot in this video we can’t deduce from the one above it or from prior reports. They mention how the design takes cues from the iPhone 5 and the graphite backplate is made from Apple’s signature anodized aluminum

If nothing else, those videos illuminate that the new iPhone 5S’s innards are currently in the making further prompting for a forthcoming release. Adding to the intrigue is the fact that BGR discovered that AT&T has joined the ranks of Verizon and T-Mobile in blacking out dates from September 20 through the 22nd indicating that AT&T needs all hands on deck for something big looming on the horizon.

As for specs, we’re expecting the new iPhone 5S to come with up to 128GB of internal storage along with a new 64-bit A7 processing chip. This is certainly a step up from the A6 which produces less wireless bandwidth.

The iPhone 5S will also carry a 4-inch IGZO display, a 12MP rear-facing camera, dual-LED flash with ƒ/2.0 lens, and a convex home button used to house an authentication fingerprint sensor. But a new article today thinks the home button will remain concave so be weary. Keep an eye out for 16Gb and 32GB variants and, of course, iOS 7 and all of the features it has to offer.

The iPhone 5C will be similar in size and specs — with a 4-inch display, upgraded camera, and possible inclusion of the aforementioned fingerprint sensor — but is though to have a scaled-back iOS 7 to account for its budget-friendliness. It will also sport a plastic shell in a neon spectrum of colors instead of Apple’s signature anodized aluminum casing.
