Good news for your next Cape Cod road trip. As you make your way down the Cape next summer, there could be a new restaurant to explore along the way. According to The Patriot Ledger, the town of Milton, Mass. may be getting a new 160-seat restaurant in the now shuttered Milton Cinema space located in East Milton Square.

According to the article, The Falconi Companies of Milton plan to “go before the town’s zoning board of appeals” tomorrow, November 18, “for approval for a 160-seat restaurant.” The restaurant’s concept is still unknown.

For those unfamiliar with the former movie theater space, the old Milton Cinema was in operation from the 1930’s until the 1980’s. The article notes that The Falconi property “also includes the Milton Barber Shop, Salon Matteo and B Boutique” but, Falconi Schmidt claimed “that all those shops will stay there.”

We’ll just have to wait and see what becomes of the currently boarded-up Milton Cinema. But we certainly hope these restaurant plans pan out for the sake of our future summer vacation pit-stops.
