You may know New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio best as the municipal leader who eats pizza with a fork – Blasphemy! Erroneous! Keep in mind, after all, this is New York City we’re talking about here – the American Mecca of Pizza. But as is the case with any good sport, he’s able to laugh at himself. See for yourself in the video below, in which he also learns song, dance, jazz hands and ventriloquism from quirky actor Steve Buscemi.

The parody clip was shot as a promotion for the Inner Circle Show on March 22nd, a comedic performance hosted by New York political City journalists.

According to the Inner Circle Youtube account, the annual music theater show “pokes fun at politics and raises money for dozens of local charities. In this year’s 92nd show, ‘Stuck With de Bill,’ newly-elected Mayor Bill de Blasio will make his debut performance. ”

The event has been put on since the 1920s and over the years has featured gut-busting skits that poke fun at the likes of  former politicos Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer. In 1997, Rudy Giuliani dressed in drag and was hit on by Donald Trump.

Tickets are still available if you plan to attend, but you better be prepared to crack open the piggy bank. General admission starts at a rather steep but more than worth it $750. It’s for a good cause, people.
