Mayor-elect Marty Walsh‘s victory over John Connolly took precedent for many Bostonians and garnered much of the media spotlight. However, nine City Councilor and four City Councilor At-Large seats were also up for grabs throughout the city. East Bostonians also voted “Yes” or “No” regarding a Suffolk Downs casino proposal.

 Bill Linehan beat Suzanne Lee, 52.88 percent to 46.79 percent

Frank Baker, uncontested, receiving 97.76 percent of the vote

 Charles C. Yancey beat Terrance J. Williams, 68.33 percent to 30.85 percent

Timothy P. McCarthy beat Jean-Claude Sanon, 54.64 percent to 44.86 percent

 Matt O’Malley beat Louis F. Valerio, 85.07 percent to 14.44 percent

Tito Jackson beat Roy Owens, 75.62 percent to 16.54 percent

 Josh Zakim beat Michael J. Nichols, 52.52 percent to 46.9 percent
