Many of us adventure-seekers dream of hiking a mountain. You know, wake up at dawn, power your way to the top, and then snap obligatory “I-did-it!” photos. But have you ever imagined doing it in heels? Rima Suqi did.
Okay, so the Fathom writer didn’t exactly hike up the entire mountain in all her heeled glory. But she did carry the Gunmetal stilettos in her pack during the grueling six-day journey, slipping them on the second she hit the summit. A swipe of Chanel red lipstick, a tourmaline cocktail ring, and a pair of shades completed her look.
As to what inspired this fashion-fueled hike? “I was turning 40 the day after climbing Kilimanjaro, and the timing was no accident. These photos were taken on the last day of my 30s, and I was perfectly happy to bid them goodbye,” said Rima. “But I had to do it in style.”
